The start of a new year has inspired me to try something new - in the form of a plaited basket. I've never done these before and I definitely need a lot of practise - but they do look rustic!!
I might point out that all three baskets have a double wall - pull my hair out would describe it well I think!! But I did enjoy myself.
And last but not least - I made this large flower basket - just for fun!!
I am very excited to find your blog for two reasons. I have been looking for hand made baskets for my miniature kitchen and I have stumbled upon your blog. I have then discovered that you are a fellow Australian!! I dont know if I have been looking in the wrong places but there don't seem to be many Australians out there in the mini world.
Any way I love your blog and love your baskets and will be having a look at your Etsy site.
Lidi, I am now a follower on your blog, which is excellent. I love your baskets, they are the greatest! Also so excited to see your paper clay work, wonderful structures you are making and so pleased to see my blog is on the top of your blog list! Wow! Really enjoying your beautiful nature photography also, love orchids. Just beautiful work, Lidi, such talent.
