I made my first attempt at flocking a sheep! Not too bad, but I really feel that the Schleich sheep is just a tad large. I shall have a go at a couple of lambs next and I might be happier with them, but mama sheep can maybe be tethered to the cart outside! That way she won't take over the whole market area. Shall have to wait and see once I have completed the cart. So much to do, but it's all so different and I'm having fun.
I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend!
YES, YES, YES!!! That was exactly what I was talking to you about in a comment I made not long ago. You did a great job too!!! Did you find the lamb? His legs need to be thinned out before they are flocked but oh he's so cute!

Catherine - where do you think I got the idea from?!! Thank you for that too! Hugs....
ReplyDeleteYesterday Australia was home to 120 million sheep, today we have 120,000,001!!! Awesome job Lidi, he looks like he should be wearing a blue show winning ribbon!

ReplyDeleteI had no idea when I wrote you the the first comment about wanting to make one that Kerri had published this tutorial. Those plastic animals could be modified before the finishing I think.
Yours is just wonderful. I look forward to seeing it in the Market Hall.
Oh, your mama sheep looks wonderful, she looks like she just had a good bath, her wool is so clean, I just want to run my fingers through it!
ReplyDeleteSure did Catherine - thanks! And Elga - will have to get more colour into the wool but I didn't want to over-do it. It looks quite grubby as it is - but doesn't show very well in the pics.
ReplyDeleteIt was fun to do - but time consuming!!
I've just found your blog. The sheep looks amazing - well done!
ReplyDeleteThe sheep looks wonderful! What a great way to make some woolly residents. I regret getting rid of all my son's Schleich animals now ;) The tutorial on these is fabulous. Thanks! (and Catherine as wel ;))))))
