The balustrade made by Peter - I did not want turned spindles for this building.

Progress with Flourish & Blott..........

So work is progressing slowly - there's always more wood to distress and paint, or bits to adjust before the final coming together.  But I'm now at the point where I'm ready to do the fun stuff - like claying and colouring, and, and, and..........

"Hardware" ready for painting

Ground floor fireplace - some painting commenced

Parts assembled ready for the fun stuff

The original doesn't have a chimney so I made one fit.

Do you like the clamps - very technical!!

More gum nut!

This time a much larger one - but I loved the texture of the pot so decided to do something with it.......

I love the combination of gum nut, cane and thread, finished with a rolled border.

The Winner of the Give-Away.................

.......has been picked by the Random Thing Picker.  Now, if I was at all computer literate, I would have taken a screen shot of the selected winner, but as it is - my computer expert is currently away in Melbourne, participating in the Comicon event there this weekend.  So, I managed to fail miserably at the task on my own and will just announce the selected winner.

Nambucca Heads...............

..........a very scenic part of the world.  Here are some shots taken during our walks over the last two days.   The views never get boring - the colours change constantly depending on the weather at the time and it is always beautiful - even on a dull day!  Hope you enjoy.

Taking a break from the serious side....

..........of basket weaving.  I've been working on those lidded picnic baskets and egg baskets for near on three weeks now and decided it was time to have a little fun time with some colour and shapes and these are the results.  I will do more of them when all the hard stuff is done!!

I must apologise for the poor photo quality - promise to try and do better next time!!
